My Bodybugg came today! It took about 45 mins to set it up. (downloading the program, answering the 3 questionaires) Easy peasy.
I wish it would've been fully charged. So far, 1 hour into it...that is my only complaint. Says it will take 3 hours to fully charge. :( Oh, well...it's here though, charging away.
The hubby came home at the end of the set up phase...um...yeah...he didn't know that I bought it. So, we had to have a little convo about the amount of money I had spent on trying to lose weight, which I, as always, countered with "well, what about your cigarettes and the trying to quit products?" :P Anyway, he really doesn't care, and I know it. He wants me to be HAPPY. To quit bad-mouthing myself. To lose this weight for GOOD!!! (Mine and everyone else's. lol)
So, as I'ma charging my 'bugg, I'm going to take a nap and try to catch up on some of that sleep I missed out on last night.
Peace.
I guess I really shouldn't be shocked though. I know from past experience that my body responds rather quickly to DOING THE RIGHT THING. Wish I knew what that deep seeded thing is within me that, once I start having that great success, I just stop. I don't get it.
But, really right now, I am just going to continue focusing on doing what I am doing.
My Bodybugg should be here today. I'm excited about that. Just one more tool to help me along.
I'm doing good on all aspects. Although, I really could've exercised a bit more yesterday, but the night before I didn't sleep well. Darn teenagers who stay up until 2:30am! Oh, well.
had a great breakfast this morning... a yogurt parfait made with Orange yogurt and dark chocolate granola. Yum. Oh, had a side of mandarin oranges too.
For lunch I made a new recipe. Cranberry Almond Quinoa salad. Only 375 calories per serving. Had a little taste. Pretty yummy.
Well, I'm off to watch the Biggest Loser episode that I DVR'd last night and workout.
Have a Blessed Day.
Peace.

Well, folks...I LOST 3 FREAKING POUNDS!!! Now, I'm not an imbescile and do not expect that number everyday (every week, yes) but that was really a nice thing to see. :)
Really, though, I did everything right yesterday.
- Slept 7 hours the night before
- Drank 8-8oz glasses of water
- Took my vitamins
- Exercised for about an hour
- Ate breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner
- Didn't snack after dinner
So, the moral of the story (at least for today)- KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, GIRL. You can do this. Your body wants this as much, if not more, than you do. God is on your side. Remember, that Jesus came and died for you so that you could have life and have it to the fullest. Sitting on your duff, at home, when life is passing you by is not what God intended for you, or anyone else.
So get out there and LIVE.
Sorry, had to talk to myself for a little bit there. That's quite a change in dialogue. Usually, I am sooo down on myself and calling myself names. I wonder how I get up every morning? If anyone else talked to me the way I talked to myself (about myself) I'm sure I wouldn't get up every morning.
Why do we think that we have to talk down to ourselves all the time??
Ugh...enough of this.
Well, everyone I AM PUMPED!! I am ready to start day two of this journey. Just for funnsies....at this rate I could be at my goal in...23 days...hahah 69 pounds in 23 days. Yeah, wouldn't that be awesome! Realistically, the goal is 69 pounds in 23 weeks. Just so ya know. :)
Gonna get to workin' out.
Have a Blessed Day.
Peace

Anyway, breakfast? An apple, and mybe some Raisin Bran Crunch...I'll have to check out those calories. :)p
Talk to ya later.
I will be eating 1200 calories a day, working out 6 days a week. [Don't forget the water, girl.] Not exactly sure how long per day, but I am approaching this like it's my full-time job. (Losing weight, that is). Anyway, I'll update tonight when all is said and done.
Have a Blessed day with the Lord.

Today is the day.
This "journey" has been going on for a llllooooonnnnggg time. Almost 19 years. Since I gave birth to my "baby" girl, yep, who turns 19 in November. I got pregnant with her 3 1/2 months after I gave birth to my son...who turned 20 yesterday. :) There has been excuse after excuse in these last 19ish years...no more. I have had it! Yes, I've said that before, I know, but really, this time I FEEL different. I really feel like if I don't do this I am going to die WAY before my time. I'm only 41 years old, a wife, a mom of two grown kids and a grandma.
As of this morning, I weigh 217 pounds. I had actually gotten down to 198lbs in March. So, I've GAINED 19 POUNDS in the last 6 MONTHS!
So, what is the plan. It's simple. Calories in vs. Calories out. This is a tried and true solution for me and millions of others. I will be keeping a food log and exercising 6 days a week with my day off on Sundays. I have ordered a Bodybugg like they use on the Biggest Loser. It should be here by Wednesday. :) In the meantime, I will use the equipment I have at home and my own two legs to workout. I live "in the country" so it's easy to go for a great walk. I've got a treadmill, stationary bike, Total Gym, free weights, a rebounder, and several videos. So, really there is no excuse to not exercise.
So, join me on my journey. I can use all the encouragement you can give.
Have a Blessed day.
Shannon
